Terms of Service

By using PathGlot you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

The service

PathGlot is a language-learning web app powered by Google Gemini AI and Google Street View. AI responses are generated automatically and may not always be accurate. PathGlot is a practice tool, not a substitute for professional instruction. We may modify or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice.

Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA).
  • Provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
  • You're responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Email support@pathglot.com immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

Subscriptions

  • PathGlot has a free tier and a paid premium subscription.
  • Trials started with a payment method convert to paid automatically at the end of the trial period unless cancelled first. The in-app trial taken without a payment method simply ends. Nothing is charged.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew each billing cycle. Cancel anytime in account settings; access continues to the end of the paid period.
  • Fair use: quests are subject to daily and monthly usage allowances. Live AI sessions are costly to run, and these allowances keep PathGlot sustainable; they're set generously so normal daily learning never hits them. We may adjust allowances, and may throttle or suspend accounts that use automation or otherwise abuse the service.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe via RevenueCat. We don't store card details.
  • Refund requests: support@pathglot.com. Refunds are discretionary.

Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Use PathGlot for any unlawful purpose.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the service.
  • Share or transfer your account.
  • Transmit harmful or illegal content via the voice interface.
  • Circumvent subscription checks or access controls.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination your right to use PathGlot ends immediately.

Disclaimers and liability

PathGlot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PathGlot's total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months or $50 USD. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA. EEA and UK users retain all statutory rights under their local consumer protection laws.

Privacy

Your use of PathGlot is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
