Two minutes with Amélie
Pick Paris and you land on the Champs-Élysées in Street View, the real avenue running toward the Arc de Triomphe. Amélie, your guide, says bonjour and asks what you're in the mood to do. You answer out loud, in French, and the clock starts on your reply the way it does in real life.
You say you want to find a bookshop. Amélie suggests a direction, asks if you prefer something calm or lively, and you have to choose and say why. You reach for a word, miss, and she feeds it back without breaking the flow. You say the sentence again, faster this time.

Will the guide correct my accent and liaison?

Can I practice Québécois French as well as Parisian?
Yes. Choose Montréal and the setting shifts to Canadian French. Accents and some vocabulary differ from Paris, and hearing both early makes the language less jarring when you travel.
Does it only speak French, or will it switch to English?
It stays in French on purpose, since that's the practice. It occasionally slips a word of English in when you're truly stuck, then nudges you back. If you lean on English too much, it will steer the conversation back to French.
